← All help guidesAdd a test record
1.
Open Tests → Add test in School view.
2.
Choose the pupil, then enter the date, test centre and test type.
3.
Choose the appropriate outcome. For a future appointment, keep it as a booking rather than recording a pass or fail.
4.
Enter driving faults and useful notes where relevant, then choose Save test.
5.
Check the test appears in Tests and, for an upcoming booking, on the pupil's record.
After the result
Choose Add test again to record the result for the same pupil, date, centre and test type. Choose Passed or Unsuccessful, enter the driving faults and save. This adds a result record; it does not edit the earlier booking. Search the list first so you do not record the same result twice.
A saved practical pass marks the linked pupil as passed. A theory result updates their recorded theory status. Check the pupil record after saving and complete any other school follow-up separately.
What this does
This keeps your school's own test records. It does not book, change or cancel a DVSA appointment. Confirm the official booking through the appropriate DVSA service.
Use Reports to review school activity and instructor workload. The current web app does not provide a live national pass-rate comparison or a separate Test Insights dashboard.
If a test is missing
Check the pupil and date filters, then ask an authorised school manager to check the record. Do not add the same result again until you have searched for the existing entry.
