Mark a lesson's payment

Tap its payment badge on the pupil card, diary or lesson page. Check the pupil and amount, choose the payment method and confirm. Record money only after it has actually arrived. Recording a payment does not charge a card or initiate a bank transfer.
For cash promised for the lesson, choose Cash and leave the cash-agreement option selected. The badge shows CASH AGREED, and payment-deadline reminders stop. Only the assigned instructor confirms receipt of that cash; then the badge becomes green PAID. Agreeing to cash does not add money to the receipts ledger.
If the money is already in the payment records, select that existing receipt instead of recording it again. A receipt already funding other tuition cannot be reused for a second payment.

Add a prepaid block

1.
Open the pupil's Add paid hours control.
2.
Enter the number of hours paid for, including fractions such as 1.5.
3.
Check the hourly rate and calculated amount.
4.
Select how the money was received, or select an existing matching receipt.
5.
Choose Confirm payment and add hours and check the pupil's balance.
A lesson is not always one hour. At £40 per hour, 1.5 hours costs £60. A 10-hour block funds six 1.5-hour lessons and leaves one hour.
Available prepaid hours are reserved automatically when a lesson is booked. The same hours cannot cover another booking. Completion uses the reserved hours once; cancellation releases unused reservations. Spending prepaid hours does not create another money receipt. Already purchased hours retain their agreed value if the school later changes its hourly rate.

Money balance and hour credit

Money balance is recorded receipts minus completed lesson charges, including any reviewed opening balance. Prepaid hours are a separate tuition entitlement. A positive money balance alone does not prove that a pupil bought a block of hours.
In School view, Payments → Record payment records an external receipt. It does not automatically assign that receipt to a lesson or prepaid block. When assigning it later, select the existing receipt to avoid double counting.
In Instructor view, More → Pupil finances shows your assigned pupils' balances and recorded receipts. New payment badges and Add credit controls record tuition payments for pupils you are authorised to teach.

Correct a mistake

Keep the original bank or cash evidence and ask the school administrator to review it. Receipts funding paid lessons or prepaid blocks cannot be deleted through the old receipt control. Do not enter a second payment to hide an error or remove purchased hours through an opening-hour adjustment.
