Set your hourly rate
In Tuition pricing, enter Default hourly rate (£) and choose Save tuition settings. Bookings calculate their price from the applicable rate and duration. A 90-minute lesson at £40 per hour is £60.
Lifetime student rates is on by default. A pupil's rate locks when their first lesson is booked and stays with them when the school changes its default rate. Existing pupils with agreed lesson history keep their existing rate. Tap the information icon beside the toggle for the explanation.
An owner or administrator can turn the toggle off and save. New bookings then use the current school rate. Existing lesson quotes and purchased hour blocks keep their agreed values. Turning the toggle on again restores each pupil's original locked rate for future bookings.
Set the payment deadline
The owner or administrator enters Payment deadline before lesson (hours), for example 24 or 48, and saves tuition settings. This is separate from the cancellation-notice policy.
An unpaid badge turns orange six hours before that deadline and red at the deadline. With a 24-hour policy, orange starts 30 hours before the lesson and red starts 24 hours before it. The registered pupil and assigned instructor receive reminders at both stages. A paid lesson or agreed cash arrangement stops further payment reminders. The instructor decides what to do about an unpaid booking; DriveBest does not cancel it automatically.
Terms and school details
Set Cancellation notice (hours) and your pupil-facing Pupil terms, then save. The owner changes the school name and support email under White-label branding. Use an address the school monitors.
Pupil card payments connects the school's Stripe account. Billing & school licence manages the DriveBest subscription. Connecting pupil payments does not purchase a school licence.
