Open More → Mileage in Instructor view.
2.
Choose the Date in YYYY-MM-DD format, or Today.
3.
Enter the start and end odometer readings. The end must be higher than the start.
4.
Enter test mileage if relevant; leave it blank for zero. It cannot exceed the day's total.
5.
Choose Save day and wait for Daily mileage saved. Check the entry in Daily records.
Readings can have up to two decimal places. The form rejects a daily difference above 2,000 miles; correct a mistaken reading rather than splitting it into invented journeys.
Correct the same day
Choose its date again to load the existing daily readings, check them and choose Update day. Verify the resulting record before leaving the page.
Review totals
Select the intended Tax year, then review daily records and Monthly totals. The displayed claimable-mile calculation subtracts recorded test miles from the day's total. The deduction figure is an estimate based on recorded data, not a submitted tax return or confirmation of eligibility.
Keep the evidence your school or accountant requires. Ask them how your circumstances should be treated before relying on an estimate for a claim.
